Individual Psychotherapy for Adults

I provide individual psychotherapy using an integrative approach and evidence-based models of treatment. Tailored to individual needs and preferences, I use a relational approach in providing cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based interventions and relaxation training. As a collaborative process, it is important in therapy to share what feels to be working well, and what is less effective.  I welcome direct and open dialogue about these topics.

Problems I can help with:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety, uncontrollable worry
  • Compulsive behavior
  • Chronic Stress/Tension
  • Grief/Loss
  • Anger Management
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Relationship issues
  • Difficulties making decisions

In addition, I help individuals to:

  • Develop skills in stress reduction and anxiety self-management
  • Navigate difficult life transitions
  • Cope after change or loss
  • Improve overall quality of life
  • Manage conflict
  • Set and attain goals towards health/wellness
  • Process difficult thoughts and feelings

Areas of Specialty include:

  • Eating Disorders, including Binge Eating
  • Health Behavior Change & Improvements
  • Non-Suicidal Self-Injury
  • Behavioral Medicine (i.e., Relaxation Training)
  • Topics of health psychology (i.e., lifestyle changes/adaptation related to chronic conditions like diabetes and pain)
